Fact of the Day: A man once mailed himself across the world.
In 1965, homesick and broke 19-year-old Brian Robson wanted out of Australia—but couldn’t afford the flight back to Wales. So, with the help of two friends, he packed himself into a wooden crate and shipped himself as cargo on a 63-hour journey across continents.
He survived with a flashlight, some food, and a tiny bottle for, well, you know. The plan almost ended in disaster—but made headlines around the world. Decades later, Brian is still hoping to reconnect with the two Irish friends who sealed him in the box and wished him luck.
