Octopuses don’t have tentacles—they have arms! Each of their eight arms is lined with suction cups that not only help them grip objects but also taste and sense textures. It’s part of what makes them such clever and curious creatures.
Tentacles, on the other hand, like those found on squid or cuttlefish, are longer, typically used for grabbing prey, and only have suckers at the ends. Watch this video from the Natural History Museum to understand about how octopuses use their crazy strong arms!
