Eyeing a new smartphone? Get yourself an iPhone from Coles for cheap – here's how!

The high cost of living is a well-known problem in Australia, especially for older adults who may be on a fixed income and must adhere to stringent budgeting measures.

One area where the costs can really add up is with technology – and we're not just talking about your phone bill! The actual phone itself can set you back hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

But what if we told you that there was a way to get your hands on a new iPhone without it costing an arm and a leg? Well, believe it or not, it's true!

Coles supermarket has recently slashed the price on a range of Apple iPhones to celebrate the first anniversary of its Best Buys Online Exclusives – that means you can still get your hands on a new smartphone without having to break the bank!

As of writing this article, the available models for sale are:
You should know, though, that these iPhones are 'refurbished' units, which means they were sold but then returned for reasons like factory defects.

The units are then put through another process to make them suitable for resale. They receive a one-year guarantee, a new battery, a new outer shell, and repairs (including part replacements as needed). They are also given a complete cleaning.

Don't worry, it's basically the same as purchasing a brand-new iPhone! While some shoppers may feel uneasy about purchasing a previously owned iPhone, official refurbished models are among the safest options for those looking to save money.

Check out the video below if you're interested in learning more about whether or not upgrading to an iPhone 11 or iPhone XS in 2022 (when newer models are already available) is still a good idea.

Aside from the iPhones, many of Coles' best-selling items have also been marked down in price, including the Kitchen Couture 3.4L Air Fryer (now $59 instead of $64), the Lenoxx Air Purifier ($109 instead of $119), and the Kitchen Couture 25L Air Fryer Oven ($179 instead of $219).

The Healthy Choice 6L Air Fryer & Pressure Cooker is also on sale for $119, while a 1.4m trampoline with an anti-graze, flat-rolled mat and inner safety net can be purchased for $129 - it comes in different exciting colours as well that the grandkids will love!

Customers will also receive free home delivery on the entire range, plus convenient direct-to-door delivery from trusted brand partners. Products will be shipped across the country, with few postcode exceptions for rural locations.

Phones are so expensive, my latest phone cost just over $2000
These refurbished phones sound good, they may have had problems but being refurbished most likely will work better than other phones
The only thing I question as a phone being returned because of problems does this mean that it was returned anytime during warranty eg 18 months of using . If so I wouldn't buy it as it would not just be refurbished but also second hand, if it was returned straight away after purchase and refurbished then I may buy it.
Although I like Samsung whereas my kids like iPhone

Both my son and I have Samsung. That works really well when I want to do something as I just ask him and he talks me through it!:)
