Emotional Tears and Joy: Terri Irwin Reveals Exciting News

It’s been almost 17 years since the wildlife warrior Steve Irwin passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife Terri and their children Bindi and Robert to keep the dream of their Australia Zoo alive.

The Irwin family is no stranger to keeping everyone’s spirits high - add to it the happy addition of Bindi and her husband Chandler’s baby, Grace, and it’s now a team of five - with an even bigger team of passionate supporters across the world.

But last Sunday night, Terri made a surprise announcement that left fans of the Irwin family excited - with the beloved mother, wildlife warrior, grandmother, and Australia Zoo owner taking the leap and joining Instagram.

As anyone who is familiar with the Irwin family knows, Steve’s incredible spirit and love for all things wildlife is at the heart of what the Irwin family do - so it was a special moment when Terri chose to mark her first Instagram post with a black-and-white throwback photo of her and Steve sharing a kiss while an iguana sat on their heads.

'One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name,' she captioned the photo - filled with love for her late husband and appreciation for the adventure of life.

A journey full of moments, both happy and sad - and the determination to follow a path full of risks, challenges, and heart. That’s the legacy that Steve Irwin left behind, and it’s certainly a testament to a life well lived.

Terri’s Instagram byline reads: 'Mother, Grandmother, Wildlife Warrior & Owner of @australiazoo,' and fans have gone wild over it, flooding her comments with plenty of well-deserved love and admiration.

'I love you so much. Welcome to Instagram, Mum,' Bindi wrote.

Australia Zoo’s official Instagram account shared the love as well, posting a photo of Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin all holding on to a snake.

'Terri has joined Instagram! Head on over to @TerriIrwinCrikey and give her a follow for amazing adventures,' they wrote.

Meanwhile, Bindi was quick to help get the word out.

'Celebrating because my gorgeous mama just joined Instagram! Go follow her,' she wrote in her post, followed by a beautiful Polaroid photo with her mum.

OH Dear? and the grandfather is sent into the wilds. How this family get away with this is unbelievable. JUST who started the business. I am sure Steve would never have barred his Dad. Disgusting and I for one find them not a nice family.

We are individuals.

We can and should make decisions for ourselves how and when we choose.

One would have thought Steve's Dad should be part of their business. But we are not privy to the backstory I guess. Too bad there wasn't something in place to assure him of a role. I am reminded of how Bob Jane was treated by his own family member who usurped the tyre business. Narcissists like angels are amongst us. We just need to have radar. It's a tough one though when it is a family member.
