Food Standards Australia warned customers who have purchased the products to not consume them as they could potentially cause illness.

The group said in a statement: "Consumers should not eat these products."

"Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund."

The Devondale products were sold on the shelves of major supermarket retailers — such as Woolworths, Coles, and Aldi — independent supermarkets, and Costco nationwide.

Additionally, the Woolworths butter product was also made available in all of its stores across the country.

More information on the recall can be found on the Food Standard Australia and New Zealand website.

Stay safe, everyone!

last week brought 2 litre Devondale milk expire 25/1 2022 ( don’t usually buy this brand) by 19 January noticed viscosity was thicker, when I heated it in microwave it went into blob like thick custard, now I learn about there is problem with the butter - perhaps they should recall the milk as well ??? mmmmmmmm
