Pork Tonkatsu is a delicious, easy-to-make dish that will leave your taste buds wanting more. It’s a Japanese dish that is typically made by breading and frying a pork cutlet. It is often served with rice, vegetables, and a thick brown sauce.

Ingredients:

-1 pork loin or pork tenderloin, cut into ½ cm thick
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-2 eggs, beaten
-1 cup panko bread crumbs
-Vegetable oil for frying
-Salt and pepper
-Tonkatsu sauce

Instructions:

1. First, slash the fat rimming one side of the loin cutlet to keep the meat from curling when fried. Then, pound to flatten to about 1/4 inch. Next, salt and pepper on both sides of each cutlet. After that, dredge each in flour, then dip into beaten eggs and press into bread crumbs to coat both sides.

2. Now it's time to cook! Heat a large skillet with about 1/2 inch of oil until hot. Lay 1 or 2 cutlets in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes, turning them once or twice. Drain the cutlets on paper towels and cut the pork into bite-size strips.

3. Arrange the pork on a platter lined with the shredded cabbage, and garnish with lemon wedges. Don't forget the Tonkatsu sauce for dipping!

You can also make your own tonkatsu sauce. Here’s what you need:

-½ cup ketchup

-2 tablespoons soy sauce

-1 tablespoon brown sugar

-1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet wine)

-1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

-1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

-1 clove of garlic, minced

Mix everything together and let flavours blend for at least 30 minutes before serving.

For a lighter version of the dish, you can try baking the pork cutlets instead of frying them.

This dish is easy to cook and very delicious, perfect for those lazy weeknights. So what are you waiting for? Give this delicious dish a try, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
