Easy peasy date loaf

4 crumbed weetbix
3 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar - I use raw
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup chopped dates
put all in bowl and add 1 cup boiling water
stand for 5 minutes - the mixture, you may sit 😁
add 1 egg
1 cup SR flour - I actually use wholemeal
stir, mix whatever
put in loaf tin and bake 150C for 45-50 minutes
lick bowl clean
enjoy with butter on each delicious slice.
Repeat as needed
