Ingredients:
  • 500g beef mince
  • 45g chicken noodle instant soup ( see notes below)
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tbs soy sauce
  • 3 tbs tomato sauce
  • 2 tbs rice uncooked
  • 1/2 cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup fresh French beans
  • 2 onions slice
  • 1 can of baby corn spears
  • 1 teaspoon of jar garlic or 1 clove crushed
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Method:
  1. Brown the mince in a large pan.
  2. Add water and soup, and bring to the boil.
  3. Add all other ingredients and simmer until vegetables are tender.

NOTES

1. I use 2 minute noodles in place of chicken noodle soup, just break the noodles up. Add when adding all other ingredients

2. You can add other vegetables or substitute vegetables like peas instead of beans.

You can also add thinly sliced mushrooms

Chow Mein is always lovely. My kids have loved it for nigh over 40 years. It is virtually the same as above but minus the corn. Might try that next time I make it....
