Easy Chicken and Mushroom Pie
- Replies 1
When the chilly winter nights inevitably roll around, it can be difficult for a lot of us to come up with a dish that can really satisfy us. There are, of course, classic meals such as shepherd's pie and beef stroganoff, but why not think outside the box and try something new that is just as comforting and inviting? Members, we present to you this Chicken and Mushroom Pie recipe. It requires minimal ingredients, is ready to serve in just half an hour, and is incredibly tasty. Trust us, even the pickiest eater will be pleased.
Here are the ingredients you need:
1. One Hot Roast Chicken, bones removed, meat shredded
2. 60g of baby spinach leaves
3. A 475g jar of Creamy Mushroom Simmer Sauce
4. A cup (100g) of shredded pizza cheese
5. A sheet of frozen puff pastry, just thawed
Start by preheating your oven to 200°C. Then combine the chicken, spinach, sauce and cheese in a large bowl. You’ll want to mix it together well to ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed. Once that’s done, spoon the mixture into an ovenproof dish.
Next, place the pastry on a clean work surface and cut it into triangles. Then, take the triangles and arrange them over the chicken mixture in the dish, before giving everything a generous olive oil spray.
Finally, season the pie with salt and pepper, then pop it in the oven to bake for a total of 25 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the pastry is a beautiful golden brown and puffed. Serve and enjoy!
