Do you have this dangerous snack in your fridge? Popular yoghurt brand recalled due to chemical contamination
- Replies 3
Every grandparent only wants the best for their grandchildren – and that includes making sure the food they eat is nutritious and safe.
We’ve always been told that one of the healthiest things we can give to children is yoghurt. It's packed with nutrients and probiotics that are good for gut health and it comes in several delicious flavours that even the fussiest of eaters can’t resist.
Unfortunately, you may want to steer clear of one particular brand of yoghurt after an urgent recall was issued due to chemical contamination.

Brownes Foods Operations Pty Ltd has issued a recall of Brownes Dairy Mango Yoghurt (120 grams) with a best before marking of October 14, 2022.
Food Standards Australia warned that the pouches of yoghurt have been contaminated with sanitising solution. Consuming even a small amount of the chemical may cause injury or illness.
The product was available for sale at independent food retailers, including IGA in NSW and WA.
Shoppers have been advised to return the item to the store of purchase for a full refund.

‘The recall is due to chemical (sanitising solution) contamination,’ Food Standards Australia revealed.
‘Food products containing a low concentration of sanitising solution may cause illness or injury if consumed. Consumers should not eat this product.’
‘Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. They should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.’ It continued.
