DIY enthusiast reveals how you can make an impressive side table using pots and plates

Have you got some old pots and dinner plates lying around? Instead of letting them go to waste, repurpose them into a stunning, chic side table that doubles as a plant holder (or a storage bin). One DIY enthusiast took one for the team and showed exactly how you can kickstart the project.

Eva has made a name for herself online for regularly sharing dreamy home decor pieces that she builds using affordable products.

Recently, she made a charming multi-purpose side table and to say that it’s a work of art is an understatement. All she needed was two pots, two plates, a generous amount of super glue, some paint, and her unmatched talent for decorating, of course.

She begins by grabbing a large pot, a medium-sized pot, and two plates with bases that perfectly fit in between the bottom of the pots.

Steer clear of plastic pots and reach out for durable ones instead such as terracotta pots. This is to make sure that you don’t end up with a flimsy side table.

She places the larger pot upside-down and squeezes a tube of super glue to stick the bottom of the first plate onto the pot.

Then, the DIY pro glues the other plate face-down, creating a dome. She proceeds by stacking the medium-sized pot on top of the second plate and pasting them together. At this point, the side table should start resembling an hourglass shape.

Once the glue has dried completely, Eva coats the entire structure with a gorgeous shade of grey paint and finishes it off by placing a flat wooden board on top.

By flipping the revamped furniture piece, you can also opt to use it as a plant holder or a storage bin for your essentials. The table's one-of-a-kind shape creates an even weight distribution but it’s not ideal for displaying or stowing extremely heavy items.

Eva’s DIY project left thousands of jaws on the floor, with several users racing to the comments section of her Instagram post to express their amazement.

“This is a great idea, it's so versatile and looks so good!” one person wrote.

“I need this in my house immediately. If only I could work just as well with my hands,” said another.

A third praised: “Such an easy and pretty addition to any home... I'm going to get building this weekend.” while a fourth gushed: “Perfect side tables. It looks so elegant!”

And one more added: “I love them so much, absolutely gorgeous and multifaceted!”
