In a video that has recently gone viral online, the Macca’s fan put this highly sought-after trick to the test and shared the results with the internet.

The man ordered two soft serves – one just regular, and the other with 'extra' ice cream. ‘Two soft serves - one just normal, and also, can I grab a second one with just a little bit extra on top?’ he asked.

In the video, the manager looked up at the man, taken aback. Workers in the store stopped what they were doing to watch what was going on. ‘Is that possible? Is that possible?’ the Macca’s fan asked.

After a brief pause, the manager replied, 'Yeah.'

Moments later, the Macca’s workers brought out his order to the counter – and one of the soft serves was much bigger than the other.

The workers even gave a thumbs-up, approving the man’s helpful tip.

It seems like all you have to do is ask for 'extra' when ordering your ice cream, and if you’re polite and treat the staff well, then you’re likely to get a bonus serving.

‘If you never ask, you never know,’ the man ended the video.

There were hundreds of comments on the video praising the man for his ‘helpful tip’, but the comments that stood out the most were from Macca’s workers themselves, who praised how polite the man was in his video.

'Macca’s workers see it all with customers – and if you’re polite and treat them well, you have a good chance of getting that extra ice cream', one shared.

Manners and politeness do go far.

I worked in bridal and knew exactwhat I could give free or how much I could take of their dress.

If the bride was nice I would give her freebies without her even asking eg free veil , jewellery and even alittle of the price of her dress.

But if the bride was horrible I wouldn't give who thing.. nothing and why should I if she wasn't a nice person .
Most brides though were lovely

So kindness does go along way

It's possible to be too polite when ordering ice cream. I was once at the head of a very long line at an ice cream van in the local park on a community picnic day. I ordered an ice cream sundae which was advertised to have ice cream, flavouring, malt and nuts.

The guy filled my order, handed it to me and turned to the next in line. When I checked, I discovered I had no nuts on my ice cream. In order to be heard over the conversation of the ice cream guy and the customer, I raised my voice slightly and said: 'Excuse me! Do you have nuts?' The crowd erupted into hysterical laughter. Filthy minds some people have! 🤣🤣
