This article was kindly written for the SDC by member @Deejay11. This week, Deb has some new competitions to enter, tips on maximising your survey earnings and a delicious Shepherd’s Pie recipe for two.


Competitions:

Here’s a tip when entering competitions. I personally believe (IMHO) that when competitions are run that only offer accommodation, rather than a complete holiday package, the number of entries is lower. So, if you are in a position to pay your own travel/airfares, consider entering!

Some people can’t afford to pay extra, and some others are perhaps not prepared to pay extra on top of the prize.



Over the past years, I have won upmarket ‘accommodation only’ prizes for both Thailand and Bali, as well as a Whitsunday Bare Boat Charter. We just made these trips our annual holiday, paying the extra required for travel, but they were all totally worthwhile.
