Danger Alert! This household appliance may put you at risk of fire - Here’s why the ACCC is RECALLING it

As we all know, keeping our food and drink fresh is crucial, but let's not forget about the importance of safety when it comes to refrigerators.

The last thing we want is a fire caused by a faulty appliance inside our homes, which can be every household's worst nightmare.

Unfortunately, over the past few years, there have been many recalls of refrigerators and freezers, both big and small, due to fire risks.

The culprit behind these recalls could be faulty wiring or overheating caused by manufacturing defects. It's terrifying to think that something as seemingly harmless as a fridge could cause a fire in our homes.

That’s why, members, we are alerting you of a new recall announcement from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), which saw a popular kitchen appliance being pulled off the shelves due to a fault that may cause a fire.

I think it is about time something was done to seriously penalize manufactures that allow (without fully testing) their products on to the market, there's not much nowadays that does not get recalled for some safety reason, motor vehicles appear to have the most recalls. there's no quality control now just quantity output, in the "old days" goods of all description were vigorously tested before being allowed full production and allowed onto the market and even then the product still had to be checked and tested by Australian Standards Council but it appears that all that stuff has gone out of the window (maybe in exchange for gratuities ???)

For something so dangerous, this recall should be aired on the tv news channels where more people are likely to see it.

This is the result of random testing of, not only appliance, all things. Food, clothing, bicycles etc are batch-random checked and not individually checked. It’s easier and cheaper to recall items and offer replacement.
