Daisy the dog’s stunning artwork goes viral: “She’s a legend!”

It is common knowledge that dogs are man’s best friend. Their cute and adorable faces, coupled with their happy-go-lucky attitudes and carefree disposition, light up every pet owner’s world, and we just love them for it!

Truly, nothing beats arriving at home and being greeted with an exuberant wag of our furry companion’s tail every single day.

But did you know that aside from entertaining us with their silly little antics and being always game for endless photo ops for our social media feeds, they can also help around the house, especially with home decorations?

One woman found out that when she was in need of a new piece of artwork to hang on her walls, all she had to do was to give her trusty four-legged best friend a blank canvas and some peanut butter spread and her problem would be solved.

Sharing on a popular Facebook page, Trish revealed that the stunning piece of abstract art that is hanging above her fireplace was made by none other than her German Shepherd, Daisy.

Trish has always noticed that the space above her fireplace felt a little empty and bare, so she tried looking for a new piece of art to hang on her wall.

Being a regular Kmart shopper, she bought the $12 blank canvas in the store and decided that she would just make an artwork herself. But after being welcomed home by her loving pup, she had other ideas.

So Trish poured a bunch of coloured paint onto the canvas and covered it in two sheets of clear cellophane. Then, she placed spoonfuls of peanut butter on top.

Miss Daisy began working her magic by licking off the peanut butter from the plastic surface, which then pushed and spread the paint below it.

After the dog was done licking every bit of peanut butter on the cellophane, Trish just had to remove the plastic and unveil the artwork Daisy had created.

We hate to say it folks, but we think Daisy might indeed be a better artist than us! She absolutely nailed it.

Trish’s post on the Facebook group was flooded with positive comments from fellow members and dog lovers. Most comments praised Daisy for the wonderful job, calling the German Shepherd a “legend” and an “artist”.

One user said that this was by far the best thing they have seen, and they’re looking forward to doing this with their dog as well. Another added that she should include Daisy’s paw print on the canvas to “sign” her artwork.

So if you have a furry friend at home, this might be the perfect way to decorate your home. Would you try it? Let us know in the comments below!

I've just told my dog Pip that he is lazy and not earning his keep! I showed him what his canine cousins get up to in their spare time but he was unimpressed, yawned, turned around and went straight back to sleep! It's such a hard job just being a dog, you need at least 22hrs sleep just to be able to handle the meal times, the boundary security checks and cuddles.:)
