Happy reading!
I would like to reply about the spilled milk article.

NO where in the article about Split milk protest was it mentioned that it is CRUEL & PAINFUL to have & use Dairy cows. That are milked twice daily !!!!!

But NOT many Humans really care if the food they consume is Cared for & KILLED HUMANLY. Cattle, sheep. pigs chooks, ducks ETC are deffinatley NOT humanley raise or SLAUGHTERED !!!!!!!! I have personal hands on experience of this for abt 50% of my life. I rescued two Merino lambs while I was at Uni in Armadale, when they were full grown my husband & Father looked forward to eating them as they were bottle fed for every & very spoilt. So I advertised in our local newspaper & found a vegan couple (hippies) to adopt them for their wool. We also had about 200 head of cattle (& horse, geese, ducks, chooks etc). I feel strongly that anyone who consumes ANY animal's flesh should be required to witness the slaughtering of all flesh ...................... BEFORE the species is allowed to be consumed. Unless it is home slaughtered (most of these are still CRUEL) which is USUALLY INHUMANE !!!!!!!

6 mths after we bought our cattle farm in the 60's I asked my Dad to take me (12 years old) to "where our cattle went after leaving our farm. I had to see how they were treated & KILLED". Admittedly our livestock was moddicoddled & spoilt. Our cattle transpoter & auctioneers were instructed they were NEVER allowed to hit our cattle like all other cattle was. We always got the highest price when selling because our cattle were known NOT to be hit & NEVER bruised !!!!!

I also am sure most of the seniors read will have NEVER consider that the flesh they consume has suffered & been cruelly treated or that the seniors EVEN CARE !!!!!!!!

Ask any Mother who breastfed her babies how painful. I am aware that there will a majority of readers that didn't breastfeed their babies at all. I know my Mother was the only Mother that BF us 5 kids (for the advised 2 years each) during 1956 to 1964 and I know that during my BF years 1976 to 1983 I was a rare BF Mother as well. Thank heaven that has changed with more Mothers are BF & get closer to the recommended 2 years that the World Health Organisation recommends.
