@Da Freddo’s Member Spotlight: ‘Take nothing seriously, except serious stuff.’

Today, I have the pleasure of introducing one of our wonderful SDC Rewards members, member @Da Freddo.
For those interested in a glimpse into the life of someone who has never shied away from life’s hard yakka, read on.
Introducing member @Da Freddo:
June was a brilliant month in the fantastic year of 1954 because that is the year I was brewed and born in.
I am a happy-go-lucky fella who takes nothing seriously, except serious stuff.
I was a British Army Brat and have been around the World (Dad was a Staff Sergeant); that was a good education for us three kids.
After completing Technical High School Certificate, I did a 5 year apprenticeship as a Boilermaker for years and then I worked the Mine Site map over Australia, and Drill Rig sites for many years. It wrecked my body and now I pay the price.
Would I do that again? You bet I would; that set us up for a comfy retirement.
Repairs on huge dump trucks, draglines, rippers, stackers, and vibrators: it all takes a toll on your body.
But it was a fantastic career and made heaps of friends all over this country.
I love making new friends and keeping good friends that I have had for 56 years.
I found SDC on the net and thought that would be a good outlet for finding new friends.
The best bits of the SDC, in my opinion, are the Games, Forum, and Members' posts (you know, the whole kit and caboodle).
Words of wisdom? Be nice and friendly to others and remember it’s only and all in fun.
