Credit Card Hacking CBA do nothing
Earlier this month we discovered that our MasterCard (issued by CBA) had unauthorised payments, having been hacked, for the 3rd time in 8 months, the first time we also had a Travel Card (which we had never used) completely emptied.
Getting through to register the ’theft’ was time consuming as new were left on hold for 40 minutes plus, whilst constantly being reminded the the Bank “Values Your Custom”. After registering the details (and eventually getting our money back) the people I spoke to were invarably polite and as helpful as they could be. HOWEVER the ’solution’ every time is to reissue another card. We are then left with the task of engaging with all the suppliers we make regular payments to.
On being asked to speak to someone more senior at the Bank I have been constantly rebuffed and there appears, to me, no one who genuinely cares. All I hear are the expected platitudes. As I said to one of the very nice people I spoke to, “I would feel more valued by the Bank if you gave me a very hard kick between the legs”.
This relates to the 'BIN attack' story.
