Craving a chocolate shake? 7-Eleven has the answer with their new 'futuristic' machine – and it's taking the internet by storm!

A 'futuristic' new feature that has been introduced into 7-Eleven stores in Australia is causing quite a stir among Aussies and customers all around the world!

While the ice cream machines at Macca's have a bad reputation for being perpetually broken, this one looks like it could be just what we need for the upcoming summer season.

It was a mum from Queensland who shared the 'futuristic' new feature with the rest of the internet. She revealed that many 7-Eleven stores have a milkshake maker that lets customers personally choose the flavour they want, and the machine will make it right before their eyes!

She uploaded the clip to the video-sharing platform TikTok, where it quickly went viral, amassing a staggering 79.5 million views and impressing thousands of foodies around the world.

In the video, we can see just how well the machine works. First, the customer chooses which cup size they want and then places it inside the machine's 'dispense chamber'. After a few moments, the machine will fill it with ice and syrup.

Following this, the cup is whisked away on a little conveyor belt hidden behind a transparent screen, where a stick blender is lowered in to whirl the ice and chocolate syrup together.

Customers wait for less than a minute for their milkshake, and the progress of the blending process is presented on the screen above, which says: 'This is where the magic happens. We promise it's worth the wait.'

Following her video's viral success on the platform, the woman received a flood of positive feedback from fans across the globe who wished they could taste the 'yummy' shake for themselves.

'This is my dream,' one user wrote in the comments section, while another also said, 'The future really is here…'

'I need it now!' a third went on to say.

Some people also said that the machine used 'way too much ice,' and others wanted to know if the chocolate milkshake tasted as good as it looked.

On the other hand, some customers have voiced concerns regarding the hygiene of the machine, given that it will be used to process a variety of milkshake flavours.

'I think I need to see how the blender bit gets cleaned,' asked one user, to which a 7-Eleven staff member responded: 'We have this machine at my store. It rinses after every blend, and there's daily and hourly cleans that need to be done'.

They added: 'If they're not done, the machine literally doesn't work; it'll just shut down till it's cleaned.'

Now that summer is just a few months away, it looks like we'll soon be spending the majority of our days in 7-Eleven stores! What about you, folks? Are you looking to try these 'futuristic' milkshake machines, as well? Let us know in the comments!

My daughter is a manger at Macca's and told me the thick shake a frappe machines get cleaned out daily.

So if you ever get told ' sorry it's not working ' then it means it is waiting to be cleaned

It's so easy for bacteria to grow if it isn't cleaned out properly and I'm not sure I would trust those people working at 7 eleven to clean it properly.
Have you ever asked for help at 7 eleven . They won't leave from behind the counter
