Ingredients

For the Apple Base:
  • 4 large granny smith apples, peeled and cubed
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    1/2 cup of plain flour

    For the Oat Crumble

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of large flake rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter at room temperature

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Place the chopped apples, lemon juice, sugar, flour and cinnamon into the Crumble Baby Dutch Oven*.
    2. Mix together until the apples are all coated. To make the oat crumble, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and salt into a separate bowl.
    3. Add the butter and use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix the butter into the brown sugar and oats.
    4. It should resemble a soft dough texture. Spread the crumble over the top of the apples and place into the preheated oven with the lid off.
    5. Bake for 55 minutes, or until the top is golden and the apple filling is bubbling around the sides.
    6. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Enjoy!
