Yes Coolangatta was the place to go in the 1970s and 80s for us southerners. I remember staying in that area a couple of times during the summer holidays.
Surf, Sun and Sand.

I lived in the Tweed area in the seventies and eighties and have so many memories here.surfing , laying on the sand , and being hit by a big dumper!!! It was so beautiful then but it is not the same now.

I could enjoy this view for years when I lived in Kirra in the 60's and 70's. It was a beautiful spot to live in the 60's outside the tourist season.
