Commodore 64 Computer

Who here used to own this computer? Back in the day, this hunk of metal helped employees and businesses with work, and countless kids with their homework. And don’t get me started on that catchy 1983 commercial. Tell us if you sang along here.

I didn’t own one but I do remember using one. They were so small compared to today’s computers and did so little, but we thought that they were absolutely fantastic.

My FIRST computer! ❤️❤️❤️
Learned how to program in basic language on it.
It was amazing how much could be done with just 64 Kilobytes of memory!

Back in 1990 it was my first computer. I was very lucky because I had 2 disk drives!!!!!! Wow, talk about about technology. Who would have thought that in 35 years we would have the types of computers etc that we now have!!!!

I had to make do with the cassette tapes to save things to at first. VERY SLOW! What a relief when I could finally afford a disk drive!

This was my son’s first computer, which we bought him when he was 9. All his friends thought it was amazing. It was the first in a very long line of computers that he desperately needed, including one that came from the USA, it was some sort of special system that he wanted to learn. Technology has certainly come a long way.
