Coles is giving away MASSIVE discounts ahead of Easter – here are the items to watch!

More good news ahead of Easter, folks!

Previously, we wrote about Coles and Woolies bringing back one of their most sought-after promos during holiday seasons – marked down prices for their prized WA rock lobsters.

Now, it seems like Aussies can enjoy more seafood delicacies ahead of the Easter celebrations!

Coles surveyed thousands of Australians to understand how they intend to celebrate the holiday and what foods they value the most.

They found that aside from the quality of the food, more than half of their customers are also hunting for the most affordable deals on products commonly consumed on or around Easter, such as chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and seafood.

That is why Coles has recently announced that aside from their WA rock lobsters, they will also be lowering the prices of their following seafood items:
  • Coles Deli Fresh Tasmanian Salmon (Skin On): $29
  • Coles Deli Raw Banana Prawns: $23 p/kg, down from $26 p/kg
  • Coles Deli Fresh Black Tiger Prawns: $27 p/kg down from $30 p/kg (excl. WA)
  • 3kg Box of XL Black Tiger Prawns: $75 p/box, down from $102 per box
  • Coles Tasmanian Salmon Portions with Lemon & Herb Crumb: $14.50 per pack
Customers are expected to buy 200 per cent more fresh seafood over the long weekend, compared to any other week of the year.

Aside from seafood products, Coles will also be offering marked down prices on other Easter products such as hot cross buns, responsibly-sourced chocolate, and even wine and other alcoholic beverages for the adults.

Shoppers can purchase two packs of the supermarket’s award-winning hot cross buns for only $6, while chocolate eggs and bunnies start from $2.70 each.

And for our chocolate-loving members out there who also want to help the environment, Coles is also offering Easter chocolates such as the Chocolatier Australia Puddles The Platypus, and they will be donating 25 per cent of profits towards the Australian Platypus Conservancy.

And for the adults who want to spike their Easter celebrations a little bit, Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market stores are also offering some great deals over the holidays, including Annie’s Lane Clare Valley Shiraz at just $12 a bottle, down from $16.

This one's for the craft beer fans who are always on the lookout for new and creative releases! You can now grab the supermarket's newly launched craft beer – the White Peach Surplus Sour – which is brewed using unsold supermarket bread and excess white peaches.

With Easter just over a week away, Andy Mossop, the General Manager for Bakery, Deli and Seafood at Coles, said that their stores are preparing for a massive week of sales, now that more customers can treat themselves to luxury items.

Easter season is said to be the second busiest period of the year, not just for supermarkets but for customers as well.

So, members, we advise doing your Easter shop early! Or else, you might miss out on some exciting products…

I have no intention of buying anything special for Easter. I have some fish and Hot Cross buns in the freezer, don't eat chocolate much and am not expecting visitors. Easter this year will be just like any other days for me.:(:(

I went to my usual Coles on Saturday - no hot cross buns. Went to a local Coles this early afternoon (Wednesday) - no hot cross buns. They have been in shops for months. Now close to Good Friday-none. Coles lift your game. Also no Easter eggs, just rabbits. Didn't want to buy them too early in case they melted!
