Do you remember going to Coles Cafeteria and getting tea in one of these iconic red-striped cups? Holding that cup meant warm tea and a cheeky treat during a busy city trip. Who remembers sipping from one of these during a day out? Share your memories here.

Yes, I remember the Coles cafeteria and the cups that my mother and grandmother would use. I was a bit too young for tea back then so I would always get a milkshake in an aluminium cup.
Gosh you are also describing my experiences. Coles Cafeteria was a special school holiday treat as a family, dress up go to the city on the train (red rattler) shopping and Coles for lunch.

40 years ago, I went into Perth to do some shopping, I had my daughter with me and so I went upstairs in Coles to get a cup of black coffee while my small daughter had a drink of milk. It was the last time either of us ever had anything to drink or eat in a Coles cafeteria!! Floating on the top of my coffee was a very well-cooked cockroach. Over the years, that cockroach has saved me a good deal of money. I always wait until I get home before I indulge in a cup of coffee or even eat!!
