My kids used to leave their clothes on the floor of their rooms and expected me to collect and wash them. I got sick of it and told them anything that was not put in the dirty linen basket did not get washed. They did not believe me and then my daughter did not have a clean uniform dress for school next day. Luckily her clothes did not get dirty but nevertheless they were crumpled on the floor. I made her wear the crumpled dress to school to show her a lesson. After that day both kids put their washing in the right place and not on the floor any more.

With my five l stuck a list of all the jobs l wanted doing with their names next to the jobs which was rotated then they got pocket money.
l worked till 3 pm .My eldest girl Karen was the untidy one just like her dad
That was one of the things my kids could not understand. If dad is allowed to throw his clothes on the floor why couldn't they? Obviously I had arguments with their father over this, but he would not show a good example to the kids.
