Classic Kraft Cheddar Cheese

Remember when Kraft’s Cheddar Cheese came in this classic packaging? For so many Aussies in the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s, it was a fridge staple—the star of golden grilled cheese sandwiches, school lunches, and Sunday afternoon snacks. Its creamy, nostalgic taste brought families together and turned simple meals into cherished moments.

Growing up, this was the cheese we always had .We would always have it grated with salad.

It can't be real cheese though as it's not refrigerated until opened.

My kids would not eat this cheese.

I remember when my older kids were young buying this cheese but as cheese sticks and putting in their lunch boxes. They hated them

Normally when we go overseas we take the Kraft Cheddar cheese 500gm pack for family and friends..
After 8 years I planned to go overseas and I can’t get the 500gm pack, I can only get the 250gms…
I’m a bit disappointed…

Remember having this cheese in sandwiches with Vegemite, or in salads when I was young. When I was older I then thought it was like eating soap. Preferred the Coon tasty cheese, remember it being in quite a large block.

There were always recipes on the inside of the pack - one of them Cheese and Tuna Rice became a staple in our household as we grew up and were encouraged to learn to cook. I own up to still using this basic recipe as a base for Rib sticking meals now. Of course brown rice and real cheese is used now. It was also a good "Veggie Smuggler" when my son was young.

Also used to make a devon & cheese sandwich - 2 slices devon and a slice of cheese in the middle as an after school snack

You didn't have to store it in the fridge until you opened it either. I don't know if you can still buy it that way now. I know you still could only a few years ago.
