Clag glue

Who remembers the old Clag glue pot from school days? The distinct scent and the temptation to sneak a taste, despite knowing it probably wasn't the best idea! Did you slather it on your fingers and peel it off like a second skin? Thanks to member @Macs-241 for sending this photo to us. Do you have fond memories of using this at school?

Just in case, anyone was wondering .........
The main ingredient of Clag is wheat starch dissolved in a water base, meaning that it's generally safe if swallowed. (Note: being a starch (wheat flour) based adhesive, ingestion may cause an allergic reaction for those with wheat intolerance.)
