It's that time of year again – time to unpack the boxes of Christmas decorations from the garage and start sprucing up your home for the festive season!
While it's not hard to spend money on shiny new ornaments, one woman has shared her ‘genius’ hack for creating a luxe-looking tree on a budget. And trust us, you’re not ready for this woman’s big reveal.
The woman, who goes by Londa Locs on TikTok, posted a clip of her husband’s reaction to their Christmas tree.
Viewers can see the newly decorated tree – complete with large, luxe-looking baubles and fairy lights.
‘Showing my husband the tree, and he said it was really nice, very beautiful,’ she said.
The clip zooms in on the tree and what appears to be expensive, metallic glass ornaments. The woman asks her husband how much he thinks she paid for them.
‘I was like, “how much do you think I paid for the big blue ornaments?”,’ she continued.
Her husband guessed and said that he thinks she paid $12.99 a piece for the baubles. She approaches the tree and reveals that her new ornaments aren’t exactly what they seem…
‘I’m going to grab the ornament,’ she said and pulled at one – revealing that the baubles are actually small balloons nestled in between the tree’s branches.
‘Now go get your balloons. But make sure you get the chrome or metallic balloons since they look more real,’ she explained.
The video garnered thousands of views on TikTok, and many were genuinely surprised at the woman’s ‘hack’.
