Ingredients
- 4 bacon strips, diced
- 500g boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into small strips
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 150g sliced mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons plain flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet of cooked pasta of choice
- Additional paprika, optional
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings; set bacon aside
- In the drippings, cook the chicken, onion until the chicken is no longer pink.
- Add mushrooms and cook until brown and soft.Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Add the stock , salt, paprika, pepper and bacon. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine flour and sour cream until smooth; add to the skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 2 minutes. Serve with pasta . If desired, sprinkle with paprika
