Chicken nuggets keto style

280g canned chicken
1/2 cup of shredded cheese (I used pepperjack)
1 egg
Mix together
Scoop and flatten
I sprinkled with bagel seasoning (so good!)

Airfryer at 200C
Cook 14 minutes, flipping halfway
Spray first, they stick!
You can also cook them in the oven
200C for about 20 minutes flipping halfway

Why would you use chicken from a can? Never heard of it and certainly would not use it :cautious:

I forgot to mention Aldi has it as well, although I have and never will buy a tin of it - I have two thoughts on this {1} it sounds so USA and {2} I'm gagging just at the thought of it. When I read the recipe, I thought to myself minced cooked chicken would be better.

You can buy small flavoured cans of sandwich chicken, same place you buy the same tuna and salmon variety's, closest to plain chook is chicken and Mayo. No different from buying processed chook at deli, I don't use the chook, but have used the tuna when kids were young, they loved the sweetcorn one and sweet chilli, and never eaten processed chook, yuk.

Not sure I have ever heard of ‘canned chicken’ being available in Australia.
I don't whether it was availabel here but we used to carry it s cargo back in the late firties earlysixties a boned out canned chicken which wer quite tasty if I remember the far back plus of course it was pilfered cargo which made itsweeter?

Mostly produced in Thailand or there about for Aussie company's.

In some European countries France, Spain etc.they sell gourmet birds in cans whole, spatchcock, quial etc.. not cheap, but that was awhile ago, and yes you can buy whole birds in USA.
