Check your emails now – you may be eligible for free steak and seafood from Woolworths!

Membership programs are a great marketing tool. They allow businesses to understand their customers better and provide them with more bang for their buck, and the customers get to enjoy the best exclusive deals and promotions – it’s a win-win situation!

And Woolworths is no exception to this rule.

Woolworths customers have been picking up free food from their local store thanks to a deal that’s exclusive to Everyday Rewards members.

This week, a lucky few Woolworths customers across the country have been rejoicing after scoring free packs of premium steak, pork belly, burger kits and a wide variety of seafood items from their local stores.

This is thanks to Bunch, the little-known group that gives Woolworths shoppers access to incredible savings!

Bunch is an online food community available exclusively for Woolworth shoppers with an Everyday Rewards membership card.

When you’re a part of Bunch, you can be invited to try products for free and share your thoughts about them online.

‘Instead of just receiving tiny samples in store, we’re giving you the opportunity to try full-sized portions – for free – in your own kitchens. In exchange, we want you to cook, experiment and test them with your family – then, let us know what you really think of each product,’ Bunch’s website states.

Additionally, as a member of the Bunch community, you can share your product reviews and engage with other members’ reviews.

‘You will find members love to talk about food – some share recipes, articles and chat topics with the community, whilst others view, like and comment,’ they added.

Registration is free and any products you’re invited to sample will be free to claim and redeem in your local Woolies store using your Everyday Rewards card. However, shoppers can only be invited to join Bunch.

If you’re interested in joining the waitlist to become a member, you can complete the ‘register your interest’ form here.

Once you’ve registered your interest to join, you will be automatically added to the waitlist. Then, Bunch will send an email when membership places become available.

And although you can only join via invite, it doesn’t mean that you need to spend more in Woolworths to increase your chances of getting a membership placement.

‘If you have received an invitation to join Bunch, it’s because we value your opinion. All customers who are invited to join Bunch are carefully selected by a number of factors, such as their shopping behaviour, life stage, location and spending in stores,’ the group explained.

Non-members can still access product reviews, ratings, and comments as well as access articles, recipes, and videos. Only the members can interact and post product reviews of their own.

You can find Bunch’s latest content here.

According to the Bunch team, their objective is to create Woolworths’ own and exclusive brand of food products that provide a higher quality and value for customers. To fulfil this, customers are given the chance to trial products at home in exchange for genuine feedback on the taste and how it provides value to their daily lives.

‘As members shared their feedback, we noticed they also wanted to share their food experiences with each other so we’ve adapted Bunch to allow this community to flourish. Now members can share recipes, articles and chats about their food passions, dilemmas, and interests,’ they added.

Lucky Woolies shoppers have taken to social media to reveal how they picked up the luxury foods as part of their Bunch memberships this week. They even reported seeing a huge improvement in the quality and value of items they’ve received.

Sharing to a popular Facebook page, one shopper explained how he scored a 400g pack of Woolworths Beef Eye Fillet.

‘Check your email for Bunch! Finally got something good!’ he wrote.

Other social media users who saw the post revealed that they, too, had been given other premium meat buys.

‘Dinner sorted, yay!’ Said one shopper who revealed that she had received a 700g piece of Woolworths Pork Belly.

Another said she had claimed a 500g pack of Woolworths Macro Grass Fed Australian Stir-Fry Beef.

Pulled Pork Burger Kits for me, yay!’ One more wrote.

Another said they scored a 1kg Woolworths Market Value BBQ Pack – including 8 sausages, and 4 burgers – and another commented that they were given a tray of Woolworths Hickory Smoked Beef Sausages for free.

Seafood lovers also shared what they picked up from their stores earlier this week.

‘I got Crumbed Prawn Cutlets!’ One claimed while another stated they scored a 1kg pack of Woolworths Crumbed Frozen Fish pieces.

‘I scored the fish pack too – so excited,’ a third added.

However, others weren’t as lucky with their freebies.

‘Ha ha, I got French Onion Soup,’ one revealed.

‘Meanwhile, I got a yoghurt pouch this month lol,’ another wrote.

Looks like the premium freebies rotate through members gradually so don’t worry if this month wasn’t your time!

Hi everyone I am a member of bunch but rarely does something expensive get offered and when it does it is in limited quantities so it is first in best dressed as it is with all the items on offer so as a member of bunch you are not guaranteed any free items. There are however other things like reviews, new products and recipes and interaction. Lots to read and contribute a bit like SDC really good quality reading.

Yes, I would. IF I COULD. I've been a Rewards member for about 15 years or more but have never heard of this BUNCH. I'm an age pensioner and will take anything I can get that helps me buy food that I can't otherwise afford. Like meat. Like fish and seafood. Like eggs.

I too am a member of the Bunch programme and have been so for quite some time. Unfortunately, our Regional Woolworths sometimes does not have the item to be reviewed but on the upside, what I have been able to 'purchase' have always been of good quality even if they had been Woolies products - in my opinion just as good as the branded varieties and is some cases, even better. As stipulated previously, you have to be quick to score the 'freebie'.

I am a Bunchee and have been offered steak a while back. Was about $17 worth. Not many products lately though and the last was a tin of cannellini beans ... but only 300 available. Different people/states have different offers.

I have been on the Bunch waitlist for almost two years now. Can't see me joining anytime soon which is a shame, I could do with some freebies right about now!

I've been a member of Bunch since it started. When it works, it works well, but with all the supply disruptions of the last year it has been very difficult to collect the samples on offer; my 'failure' (as in 'totally unavailable' ) rate this past year has been around 20%. My local Woolworths is particularly prone to stock-outs. Nearest other Woolworths are 55km, 80km and 105km away, so occasionally I can pick up items I've missed locally when I'm on a drive away. What really gives me the threepenny bits with Bunch is that I can't collect the goods as part of a delivery order (which comes from the store which is 105km away - go figure?); it must be done in person on presentation of the Everyday Rewards card (equally ridiculous- they already have that Rewards card number with the order!).

I don't know why SDC persists with pushing this story - the Bunch membership rolls have been full for years and you basically have to wait for someone to die for your 'turn' to come up. Good luck, anyway!
