Charging your phone, tablets etc​

Please, please, please, do not leave your devices charging unless you are in the house and awake.

If you live in WA and were watching Channel 7 news last night you would have seen a family lose their home and all their possessions.

They had gone shopping; left the phone on charge in the bedroom and it caught fire.

I no longer leave anything on charge if I am not home and I do not charge anything while we are asleep either.

This family is my friend's grand-daughter and she is absolutely distraught and is finding it hard coming to terms with losing everything. Now living temporarily with inlaws.

Oh goodness... I always leave my phone unattended when it's charging, especially while I sleep. This is horrifying! Thank you for this warning. You might have just saved my life!

Would you believe it....23 hours ago an e-scooter on charge burnt down another house in Perth...$500K damage. Please do a google search and you will find other instances of fires being caused by lithium batteries while on charge. We are not hearing enough warning about these things. How many cars will catch fire in garages when they are charging??
