Enter Kmart’s latest item—a $3 Microwave Cleaner causing quite a stir among shoppers and cooking enthusiasts.

Kmart shopper Dina Santos recently put this gadget to the test and shared her experience on social media.

‘Yesterday, I posted the Kmart fridge deodoriser. Today , I used the Kmart microwave cleaner and it works quite well,’ Ms Santos shared in a video.

‘Before you say I can use a normal container and will do the same thing, actually it does not,’ Dina immediately clarified.

‘I find with this, it releases the steam slower and no need for so much water or vinegar. Ladies, save your lemons for something more useful.’

Several shoppers shared their thoughts about the product.

'Wow! That makes cleaning the microwave so much easier!' one exclaimed.

'It looks like you won't burn your hands either as you pull the little dolly out,' another said.

Using the Kmart microwave cleaner is a breeze.

Add a quarter cup of white vinegar and a quarter cup of water to the gadget.

Then, put it in the microwave for seven minutes, and let the steam do its work.

Once done, wait for the microwave to cool down for handling.

Lastly, wipe the inside of the microwave with a cloth to remove the loosened grime and food particles.

Or....... you can do what I do. Cover what you're heating and check the microwave when you take the food out. The final step above says to wipe out the microwave with a cloth. Cleaning as you go means that there's much less mess to wipe out, and the microwave is always clean and hygienic.

Save your money ladies and gents. If all you want is steam, use a wash cloth which is just wetted a little above damp, in the microwave for a minute or more if required, plenty of steam, and soft gunk, and use the wash cloth to clean microwave out.
Just let wash cloth cool down a bit first.
You can either rinse out the cloth for reuse or in the washing machine.
Definitely don't need any dopey gadgets.

I don't need some strange doll in my microwave. Just like others here, I always give a quick wipe after each use. If you take the time to cover everything you zap, that's pretty much all you need, except the quick wash in the sink for the turntable.
