Bunnings fans rave over NEW app feature — Is this the future of shopping?

If you're like many people, you're always misplacing your receipts. But what if there were a way to keep track of them all without having to worry about losing them?

Enter the Bunnings product app! With this app, you can add your receipts and store them all in one place. There's a QR code at the top of each receipt, which the checkout scans and then adds to your account.

One customer has taken to Facebook to share this new Bunnings feature after a checkout employee informed her about it.

"This is something I only just learned about and thought I would share. If you download the Bunnings product app, it has an option for you to add your receipts here," the shopper posted in a popular Facebook group along with a screenshot of the receipt.

"I love it! I always lose my paper receipts so this helps me find them easily."

This is a great solution for anyone who has a hard time keeping track of their receipts. No more searching through your pockets or purse for that elusive piece of paper. Plus, you can easily view and manage all your receipts in one place.

The post has gained traction, capturing the attention of many Bunnings fans who expressed their excitement for the new feature.

One person wrote: "That’s the best! Thanks for sharing. I've also noticed that some receipts I have kept completely faded really quickly so you couldn’t read any of the info."

"Wow thank you I have a separate caddy for them now I won’t need it. I hate paper receipts but don’t always want photos either," another added.

One shopper who has tried using the app also advised that you can request a mobile copy of your receipt at the checkout counter, explaining: "You can also ask the cashier to send the receipt to your phone."

For those of you who are looking to download the Bunnings app, you can install it to your phone through the following links:

As shoppers, we're all too familiar with the little piece of paper that we receive after making a purchase. For years, paper receipts have been the standard for retailers. But recently, we're seeing a shift towards digital receipts...

In addition to the Bunnings app, other apps offer similar functionality, such as Receipt Scanner, Smart Receipts, and Easy Expense.

It should also be noted that other retailers also offer this new feature.

Take for example, Woolworths' Everyday Rewards App which now issues eReceipts to customers, saving them the time they spend queueing in checkout counters.

Why is there a shift from paper receipts to digital receipts?

There are a number of reasons why retailers are making the switch to digital receipts. For one, it's more environmentally friendly. With paper receipts, retailers are using up valuable resources like trees and water. But with digital receipts, there's no need to produce and make use of paper.

Another reason retailers are embracing digital receipts is that it's more efficient. With paper receipts, retailers have to print them out and then physically hand them to customers. But with digital receipts, the stores can simply install systems that send the receipts via email or text. This saves time and money for the retailers.

Finally, digital receipts are more secure. With paper receipts, there's always the risk of them getting lost. But with digital receipts, they're safely stored on the retailer's servers, making it easy for them to track down the transaction in case a customer demands a refund or product exchange.

Overall, it's clear that there are a lot of benefits for retailers when it comes to issuing digital receipts. And as shoppers, we can all appreciate the convenience and security of the new initiative.

So, there you have it, folks! Do you think more retailers should make use of this new technology? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

It's also going to take a lot of work out of being a bookkeeper, accountant, tax consultant. No longer are they going to get a shoebox or plastic bag full of receipts they have to wade through and categorise. Been there, done that, charged through the nose for it too!!:)
