Bunnings chair completely transformed in OUTSTANDING upcycle - “A work of art. This is fabulous!”

Oftentimes with upcycling projects, we come across a worn-out furniture piece brought back to life– and they turn out pretty great!

But one artistic Bunnings fan completely changed the game for interior makeovers. Hold on to your hat (or should we say, seat) because this one’s definitely going to blow you away!

Zeena Hanna took to a popular Facebook page to show off her innovative design using an old, mouldy lounge chair that one would typically throw away without any hesitation.

“We had one of those two-seater Papasan chairs on our balcony… bought from Bunnings," she wrote on the Bunnings Mums Australia Facebook page.

“The cushion became all mouldy and gross from the rain… so we put our thinking caps on,"

The end result? A one-of-a-kind, spectacular light installation.

Using the chair as a frame base, she painted it black, flipped it over, and attached decorative lights and dozens of artificial flowers and greenery, which hang beautifully at varying heights.

Her clever idea produced a whimsical light installation to illuminate her outdoor area.

“We decided to use the base and make this for our back deck. I was the brains… my husband was the muscle. How amazing does it look?”

Zeena also added that she got a hold of her string lights from Bunnings while the artificial flowers and greenery came from Kmart.

Her masterpiece caught the eye of fellow upcycling enthusiasts, with hundreds hailing her creation as ‘unique’.

“I have so much admiration for people who have the vision to turn garbage into a work of art. This is fabulous.” one user praised.

“Super creative and such a conversation piece! Well done!” another chimed in.

“Oh my goodness! Very nice indeed and so very clever.” said a third.

While a fourth suggested that adding fairy lights would make the piece even more stunning, saying: “Looks fantastic. Fairy lights would look great too. Well done. Beautiful,”

It’s incredible what you can achieve with worn-out furniture, eh? What are your thoughts on Zeena’s chair transformation? Share them with us in the comments!
