Dennis, you remind me of my Husband's Grandmother. When I visited her with my son who was very little at the time, I always took toys with us to amuse him. But no, Grandma insisted he should have a wooden spoon and saucepan so he could make noise - and boy did he!!

I found that the little ones found the home made toys better than some bought ones
