Biscuit prices crumble
So being a 78 year Oldman and on the OAPension, my favourite biscuits were too expensive.
However Aldi had Scotch Finger biscuits for 98 cents and Wollies the same (different packaging ) for the same. both below $1 with major brands over $2 same amount.Last pension day Aldi put theirs up to $1.49, a 50% increase, then this pension day Wollies put theirs up to $1.20 about a 25% increase.
There is NO WAY increases of this magnitude can be justified. These bottom shelf biscuits were sold by the trolley load so it is not that they were difficult to sell.
Not enough profit for greedy stores?
