Bigger the Better

Remember when the bigger your stereo was the better.
Then it got smaller and smaller
I now have just a turntable that we pull out when we want to listen to old records.

Mostly it's now Spotify and ok google play ....

We use to have one of these with large speakers. My kids laugh to think we had actually owned one
When mobile phones first came out they were later known as bricks because phones became tiny now they are big again 🤔

Yeah I just sold my massive speakers 4 foot high for $50 the young guy who bought them loves old stuff they had gold cables that cost $99 30 years ago so he was very happy

Yes and I still have mine. It is one to which you can attach a guitar for amplification and also tune the sounds. It is now worth about $1,500 if I was to sell it. But no my son wants it so when I pass into the next world he will get it.

I looked at the photo, a bit stunned. Then turned around to look at the exact same Pioneer amplifier, still playing my music for me perfectly, as it has done for decades now.

We have an old 1920s cabinet gramophone that we play our old 78 records on, inherited from my husbands father. We also have a similar player to the one pictured we use for our LPs and EPs. Our grandkids are fascinated by these old relics. We also still have a video player and lots of original cartoon videos the grandkids love to watch.
