Beware of companies partnered with Noodlebox.

I have an issue with takeaway food company Noodlebox. I have eaten Noodlebox in the past, and I am not overly keen with their food.

Last night I was browsing on the Doordash app, and saw a takeaway food place called Double Dragon Dumplings. It looked interesting, so I browsed the menu.

I ordered 3 items that I like, Fried rice, combination noodle, and garlic prawn noodle.
After I ordered, I was looking at the delivery app, and I notice that the "restaurant"/ takeaway shop is in my local small shopping centre (has about 15 shops).

Knowing my shopping centre well, I know that there isn't a Double Dragon Dumplings there. I was trying to figure out where it could be!
When my food arrived I asked the Doordash driver where he picked the order up from, and he said Noodlebox.

So apparently Noodlebox has like 7 or 8 partnered companies. Some are quite different, others strikingly similar.

My issue is this.......

I have had Noodlebox before, was not keen. In my mind, I probably wouldn't order from them again.

I ordered from Double Dragon Dumplings, and realized that it came from my local Noodlebox store.

Eating the food I ordered, and it tastes and looks exactly the same as Noodlebox. I paid $60 for Double Dragon Dumplings food, and I got Noodlebox food. (Same food in a different container.) So I spent $60 on food I would not have ordered had I have known that I would be getting Noodlebox food.

The Noodlebox store has 2-3 employees, so when you order from Double Dragon Dumplings, its the Noodlebox employees preparing and cooking the food. The same menu items that are on Noodlebox menu, just a different photo of the food and a different price.

Note that I did order 3 dishes that are both on Double Dragon Dumplings AND Noodlebox menu, not knowing that Double Dragon Dumplings food IS ACTUALLY Noodlebox food.
To be fair, there are some different items on the Double Dragon Dumplings menu that are not on the Noodlebox menu, but quite a few menu items are on both.

I feel that I have been deceived and that a fraud has occurred because the way that Double Dragon Dumplings was advertised on Doordash, I was led to believe that it was more like a Chinese Restaurant that I was ordering from, more up-market than Noodlebox.

Have i been deceived or defrauded?? I have complained to the company, and I did call Fair Trading. They think that its probably not Fraud, and would have to look into whether its deceitful or not, knowing that a lot of companies do this.

I would love to know if members have had the same or a similar experience.

Yes, a lot of the same under a different name = coming out of same kitchen. I now google every restaurant name and look at location. I know what you mean, it is deceptive.
