Beef and Beans recipe

Beef and beans is a classic recipe that is enjoyed by many. It is a dish that is easy to cook and is also very affordable. This dish is perfect for those who are on a budget or for those who are looking for a quick and easy meal. The beef and beans recipe is also great for using leftover beef.


To make this dish, you will need:

- 1 cup of water
- ¾ teaspoon of salt
- 1 tin of mixed beans
- 400g any cheap cut of beef suitable for stewing (diced)
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1 tin of diced tomatoes
- vegetables of your choice
- 3 garlic cloves
- pepper (to taste)
- chilli (to taste, or if you prefer non-spicy none at all)
- herbs ((your preference but herbs like oregano, basil, and rosemary are great)


Instructions:

1. Pour a cup of water into a pot and add 3/4 teaspoon salt. Soak the beans overnight.

2. Drain the beans, then add them to a pot of salt and water. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1-1.5 hours until tender.

3. Add the beef to the pot. Stir occasionally. Then, add the diced potatoes and tomatoes. Cover and cook until beef is fork-tender.

4. Peel and chop the garlic cloves and add them to the pot.

5. Add any extra vegetables of your choice. Mix well—season with salt, pepper, chilli, and herbs as desired.

6. Simmer for another hour or until the beef is cooked through.

7. Serve with rice, bread, or pasta.
