I have the dubious honour of living in all three cities in my 64 years and 364 days of life. When asked what do you think of Melbourne, my reply is "the worst aspects of Sydney, Bundaberg, NSW South Coast, etc are way better than the best aspects of Melbourne".

NSW South Coast is the best place I have lived, second is Perth (although only after 5 months) and a close third is Bundaberg. In retrospect, Vladivostok would be a more desirable location than Melbourne!
