Baby Plover

Baby Plover. The manager of our complex got a couple of complaints from the same family about the Plovers swooping when they put their bins out once a week. No-one else complained, but the manager then decided that he'd call a wildlife expert to come and catch for relocation. Well he arrived and set up his catching regimen and caught all 4 chicks, then said thanks and went to leave. I asked him why he wasn't catching the parent birds and he said that they are not allowed to relocate the parent birds as they were territorial. Both manager and I thought that was ridiculous and were horrified that the wildlife ppl would even come up with something so ludicrous, so we decided that in future he'd just tell residents to give these birds a wide berth in the nesting season.
