Avon ladies​

When I started working there was an Avon lady who would drop some Avon books at my work. I loved their musk perfume. I still have a few things I bought way back then, like my old make up bag. I also have a collection of the car and doll shaped bottles that perfume and after shave came in.

My mum was an Avon lady for about 20 years…Mum and her neighbour won Mini Moke’s through a competition run by Avon.

How exciting that must have been. Avon was a good thing for housewives to do, some extra cash, free products and meeting lots of new people at Avon parties held by family and friends.
