If you have small children in your home, it’s important to be careful about the items you allow them to play with. Some items can be dangerous for children, even if they seem harmless at first glance.
Product Safety Australia has recently issued an urgent recall of a popular children's light due to safety concerns.
The LED night light from Happy Craft Supplies was recalled because of an issue with its button battery.
According to Product Safety Australia, the light had not been evaluated in accordance with the mandatory standard for goods using button or coin batteries.
It should be noted that the children's lamp has a base in either black or white, an acrylic piece, and remote control with one button battery.
The batteries may cause serious harm and even death to children who eat them. Credit: news.com.au via Product Safety Australia.
Children who access the button battery and swallow it accidentally are likely to experience severe internal burns, which might be fatal or cause serious harm, in addition to the choking hazards it poses to the children.
If you suspect that you purchased this item, please note that the batch of products being recalled was sold across the country from July 22 to 28.
Happy Craft Supplies will get in touch with the affected customers and request that they return the light in exchange for their choice of a replacement item or a refund.
For urgent concerns, customers are encouraged to contact Happy Craft Supplies via SMS at 0422 578 858 or send them an email at [email protected].
We also encourage our members who suspect to have purchased this item to inspect the product. Stay safe out there, folks!
