In the opinion of many, this Australian rosé did a wonderful job at distinguishing itself amongst the thousands of drops that were tasted and judged by a panel of experts.

The brand’s Chief Winemaker Nic Bowen said it was 'incredible' to see their rosé win such an acclaimed competition, especially in light of the growing popularity of rosé varieties in Australia.

'Rosé has become such a diverse and exciting category, so it’s an honour to have such a distinguished set of judges pick ours from what I imagine was an amazing selection of wines,' Bowen said.

Bowen also emphasised the importance of the quality of the fruit in the production of a top-notch rosé.

'What we do in the winery and in our blending work plays a huge role in the finished wine,' he added.

'With the growing reputation and appreciation for rosé wines in Australia, winemakers have responded with some exciting and delicious examples.'

'And it’s exciting that ours is recognised amongst the best.'

The Sydney Royal Wine Show-winning bottle has already attracted a customer waitlist, so be sure to keep your eye out for this fabulous drop when it hits shelves around late September.

So the wine snobs described it as "a combination of white strawberry, watermelon and hibiscus as well as a burst of Meyer lemon and pink grapefruit, raspberry and rhubarb flavours, which ensures a vibrant and juicy acidity on the palate".

I describe all wines something like "an overwhelming acetic tang of white vinegar, combined with the acrid tones of aviation gasoline with a hint of cigarette ash and mouse droppings".

As you can tell, I am definitely NOT a fan of wine. Just a jumble of vomit inducing and headache propagating slop.
