Aussies in chaos after queueing early morning to buy this limited-edition product: ‘It’s insane’

In the fast-changing beauty world, it's common to see people get excited about the latest must-have products.

For some, the rush of getting their hands on these items is thrilling, while for others, it feels as stressful as trying to grab tickets to a sold-out show.

This week, Australia's beauty scene was buzzing with excitement and a bit of chaos as fans lined up early, all hoping to snag a limited-edition beauty product that promised to add some extra sparkle to their holiday season.

The product causing such a stir was the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette in the special 'Edit Unlocked' edition, which retailed for $149 and hit the shelves at Mecca on 15 October.

The palette, available in three different versions, was designed to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holidays.

However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment for many as the palettes sold out almost instantly, leaving several beauty aficionados empty-handed and venting their frustrations online.

‘Can’t believe they have sold out already, it’s insane,’ one vented online.

‘Every year they come out, and people go crazy for it,’ another agreed.

‘I went to three different stores, and they were all out of stock,’ a third added.

Others also joked that it was like an ‘Olympic sport’, with early risers joking about the lengths they'd go to secure their prize.

‘Only thing that will get me out of the house before 9 am,’ one joked.

‘Had to hunt it down, but eventually I found one,’ another commented.

Some even managed to purchase all three versions of the limited-edition palette, spending nearly $620 in the process.

However, others were angered when they learned some picked up multiple palettes.

‘No one should have been allowed to bulk buy,’ one commented.

‘It’s not fair that some were able to get so many while others got nothing,’ another vented.

But fear not, for the beauty world is vast and filled with treasures that don't require you to camp outside a store.

Let's explore three amazing products that deliver on their promises and are readily available without queuing or the stress of limited stock.

What? Must have? Must have rocks in your head to purchase this rubbish!

While the list of ingredients is extensive, there are some WOW materials contained in the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, ranging from industrial abrasives (boron nitride and aluminium silicate) to skin irritants (bismuth oxychloride) to close relatives to super glue (polymethyl methacrylate). Just to name a few.

Just $149 for the potential to have a visit to the doctor for a severe reaction to these materials. Bargain!

Just more to be locked away in the beauty cupboard in the bathroom....I say cupboard, because the benchtop around the basin is choc a block full of your other beauty needs....can't even fit my comb or toothbrush on there now...... 🤣
