Aussie park's fleeting spectacle leaves photographer in tears
Seasoned photographer Joy Kachina found herself moved to tears by the breathtaking blooms of scoparia in the Central Plateau Conservation Area. These vivid wildflowers put on their spectacular show for just three to four weeks each year — a fleeting window of beauty. The sought-after bloom typically begins in summer, and is a rare sight considering that 30 per cent of plant species in Tasmania are endemic, meaning they are found nowhere else in the world.
