The man behind this transcontinental culinary crossover is David 'Temps' Templer, a familiar face from the UK reality show Made In Chelsea.
Templer, who has taken a liking to the Aussie seasoning, decided to bring this taste of Australia to his home country.
‘I finally perfected the recipe, we're just working on the branding,’ he announced on an episode of the show.
‘Everywhere you go in Australia, they’ve got chicken salt. So I thought, “Do you know what? I’m bringing it (to the UK).”’
Templer's brand, Temps Tastes Co, proudly proclaims chicken salt as 'Australia's best kept secret' on its packaging.
With over 165,000 Australians living across the UK, it's no surprise that the response to this news has been overwhelmingly positive.
One Aussie living in the UK said, ‘Thank you, I got mine on Saturday, it tastes fantastic. Put it on my roasties before, during and after cooking.’
‘It’s a game-changer. Love it. Quick delivery also,’ said another.
One person made a post on social media and said, ‘(Oh my god)! Chicken salt just got given a big promo on tonight's Made In Chelsea (with props to Australia).’
