Kmart is the go-to retailer for countless interior design professionals and shoppers as it not only has a wide range of budget-friendly home additions but its products can compete with big (expensive) brands in terms of style.
Recently, the retail giant jumped in on the DIY frenzy by rolling out a new range of DIY products to help aspiring designers achieve the home aesthetic they’ve always wanted.
The new collection is a part of Kmart's August Living range which also launched today. But the good news doesn’t end there – the majority of them are very affordable too! Did someone stay stylish and cheap? Sign us up!
The DIY range includes décor and furniture chalk, $10 mineral finish paint, décor and furniture lacquer for $10, 8-pack vinyl floor tiles for $15, and self-adhesive film for $7 a roll.
These nifty DIY items opened up an opportunity for customers to revamp their spaces without having to opt for a costly, full-on renovation. There’s no need to spend hard-earned money on buying new furniture as well!
As an added bonus, some of the products can also provide a fresh, temporary change – like the vinyl floor tiles that are removable.

‘We are thrilled to deliver another new and exciting range of homewares this winter with our new DIY range,’ Meryn Serong, Kmart's Divisional Merchandise Manager said.
‘As the cost of living escalates, we remain committed to giving our incredible community great value that we are proud to continue to deliver with this range.’
Kmart's August range is available in stores from July 28.
In addition to the DIY products, there’s a new vast range of homewares and furniture pieces that have already started popping up in Kmart stores and online.
The pieces are designed to either add function, style, or both to your humble abode.
The highly anticipated products include sleek storage solutions such as the $89 faux rattan shelf unit, which brightens up an empty wall above the toilet.

The new homewares and furniture range have been designed with two things in mind: looking timeless or urban.
A timeless style involves soft blues, delicate pinks, natural fibres, and neutral tones. On the other hand, an urban style boasts deep colours as well as bold monochrome silhouettes and coloured glass.
Among the showstopping furniture pieces are the Marley Lounge Chair which costs $149, the Estelle Floor Lamp for $89, the Soho Marble Hall Table for $69, and the Boucle Swivel Chair for $349.
Shoppers are also keen to get their hands on the $14 Rylee Cushion, the contemporary Teal Tiered Vase retailing for $12, and the Vivienne Shell Light for $15.
