Have you ever wished there was a snack that tasted just like one of your favourite fast food treats?

If you’re a KFC fan, that wish is now a reality as Arnott’s has dropped Shapes’ new Fried Chicken flavour, which shoppers can’t wait to try.

The new snack has been likened to Colonel Saunder’s famous recipe but in biscuit form.

Arnott’s launched its new Fried Chicken and Cheesy Garlic Pizza Shapes flavours earlier this month, with the new chicken flavour quickly gaining a cult following among KFC fans.

TikTok user Alo Baker, has shared a video of the new snack, saying the Fried Chicken flavour was “so good.”

“So saw these at the shop today, dunno if they’ve been out for a while,” he explained. “I love fried chicken, so I thought, I’ll give them a crack. These taste like KFC in a biscuit.”

Alo's video received over 300 comments, with many other KFC fans attesting to the claim.

“Literally tried them yesterday and thought the exact same thing, too good,” one person commented.

“I’ve been saying the EXACT same thing. KFC chicken in a biscuit. They are so good,” another person wrote.

“My partner ate these the other day and basically inhaled the whole box,” said another.

While many fans agree that it tastes like your favourite KFC chicken, some disagreed, saying it was more like “BBQ chook from Woolies” or the chicken flavour that came with two-minute noodles.

“Tried them, crunchy like KFC … but not KFC flavoured by any means,” one user wrote.

The new flavours have been inspired by its classic Pizza and Chicken Crimpy Shapes.

“There’s nothing better than the aroma of a classic cheesy garlic pizza or the first bite of a piece of hot fried chicken, so why not pack these flavours in a biscuit?” Krishma Sood, Arnott’s Shapes marketing manager, said.

“We know Aussies love the big flavour hits they’ve come to expect from Shapes. Which is why we want to bring exciting new flavour sensations that push the boundaries with each box.” Sood added.
